Severe accidents where children have been sitting in a child restraint system are rare. Therefore, the format has been designed in a way that it should be possible to use in all countries, although the design of child restraint systems varies, in order to simplify the exchange of data. The coding used in this form is based on ISO 6813, ISO 12353-1, AIS manual from AAAM (Association for the 2 Normative references The following standards contain provisions which, through reference in this text, constitute provisions of this International Standard.
