This International Standard is a first attempt to work towards rationalizing the existing capacity of address masters. 1 SCOPE AND FIELD OF APPLICATION This international Standard specifies the minimum line and character capacity of address masters. 2 LINE AND CHARACTER CAPACITY OF ADDRESS MASTERS Address masters shall have sufficient capacity to allow for not less than six lines of text at 4,233 mm (1/6 in) line pitch and not less than thirty characters per line at 2,54 mm (1/10 in) character pitch.
